GAIT Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the GAIT Career Assessment and related services (“GAIT”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing, purchasing, or completing a GAIT assessment, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Purpose of GAIT

GAIT provides a structured career assessment designed to support self-reflection, guidance, and career exploration.

GAIT:
• Offers informational and developmental insights
• Does not guarantee specific outcomes (such as job placement, acceptance, or success)
• Is not a substitute for professional psychological, medical, or employment advice

Eligibility & Minors

Adults
You must be 18 years or older to purchase GAIT directly.
Minors
Individuals under 18 may complete GAIT only if:
• A parent or legal guardian acts as the payer
• The guardian is notified of the assessment
• Payment constitutes consent for the minor’s participation

Guardians acknowledge that:
• The assessment is for guidance and development purposes only
• Results should be interpreted with context and support

Accounts, Access & Accuracy

You agree to:
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Complete the assessment honestly and independently
• Keep access credentials or partner codes secure

GAIT is not responsible for inaccurate results caused by false, incomplete, or misleading inputs.

Payment & Access

Payment
• All payments are processed in South African Rand (ZAR)
• Payments are securely handled via Paystack
• GAIT does not store payment details

Access
Upon successful payment, you will receive:
• Email confirmation
• Immediate access to the GAIT Career Assessment

Refunds
All payments are final and non-refundable, including:
• Individual purchases
• Partner or institutional purchases
• Unused or partially completed assessments

Use of Results

GAIT reports:
• Are intended for personal insight, reflection, and guidance
• Should not be used as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions
• May be shared at your discretion, but GAIT is not responsible for third-party interpretation or misuse

Institutions or partners may receive aggregated, anonymised insights only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Intellectual Property

All GAIT content, including but not limited to:
• Assessment frameworks
• Questions
• Reports
• Models
• Branding and systems are the intellectual property of GAIT.

Payment grants access, not ownership.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, or reverse-engineer GAIT content without written permission.

Prohibited Use

You may not:
• Share access codes without authorisation
• Attempt to manipulate or misuse the assessment
• Use GAIT for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purposes
• Present GAIT outputs as certified, clinical, or professional advice

Violation may result in suspension, termination, or legal action.

Suspension & Termination

GAIT reserves the right to:
• Suspend or terminate access for misuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms
• Disable accounts associated with unauthorised code use
• No refunds will be issued in such cases.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:
• GAIT is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• GAIT does not guarantee accuracy, outcomes, or suitability for a particular purpose
• Use of GAIT is at your own discretion and risk

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under South African law.

Privacy

Your use of GAIT is subject to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

GAIT may update these Terms from time to time.
The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
